Speed Racer – the human motorcycle project

For this creative idea I combined motorcycle parts with the curves of a beautiful woman to create what looks like a human motorcyle. I called it the human motorcycle project. Being a photography purist, I wanted to get the image right in camera without having to edit later, so I custom built a support structure to keep the wheels in place. As always, Zoi Gorman did a fantastic job modeling and we got the shot in record time. I have a larger than life print of the human motorcycle image hanging on my wall. The detail of this print is absolutely mind-boggling. While I am not much of a motorcycle guy, this is the sexiest bike ever made.

A big thank you to Harley Davidson for lending me the parts needed for the human motorcycle project.

Please let me know what you think.

How are you keeping everything up? Excellent shot!

The idea is great, but I think the wheels overpower the woman. More graceful wheels should do it 🙂

  3. Thanks for your feedback. Personnally, I like the result as it is. I find that the black and silver wheels add much needed contrast. Also by using these wheels, I did not have to use photopshop to hide the “stabilizers”. Classic spoked motorcycle wheels would have also looked nice, but would have required photoshopping, which I am not a fan of.

So creative. My imagination immediately flashed to that classic film Tron.
