Benijo’s Dark Beauty – Tenerife

My first time to Tenerife, I was a bit worried about being able to escape the crowds, after all the island is famous as a party island, but I found that the northern part of the island had not yet been built up and offered some amazing hiking and vitsas as well as some gorgeous beaches especially popular with surfers. I had seen images of Benijo beach and wanted to photograph the place. We really enjoyed Benijo. There was quite a strong current so we did not swim out very far, but the water was pleasant and the sand clear of trash (unlike most beaches these days). We had some fresh fish in a little restaurant overloooking the beach and also enjoyed the sunset on the beach. My favorite images from the outing are depicted below.
